Candidates for this position should have earned a PhD in a relevant subject (which includes the theatre history of the period) prior to October 1, 2008. They should have a good research record, with an emphasis on peer-reviewed articles in international journals and in books with international publishers that likewise use peer review. The teaching load for the position is likely to consist of a Shakespeare course at third-year level; and either a course in theatre history at third-year level, or a course in Renaissance literature at MA level. Some supervision and evaluation of BA research papers and MA-dissertations will also be expected.
